Other Important Information

To provide high quality care to our patients through health promoting education and appropriate treatment.

GP Earning Statement

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working in Blluebell Surgery in the last financial year ws £50,446 before tax and National Insurance.  This is for 1 full time GP and 2 locums who worked in the practice for more than six months.

However, it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice, and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other practice.

Important Information for patients

From April 2015 all patients registered at our practice have a named, accountable GP.  This does not mean that you have to see only that GP at the practice; you can still make your appointments with any GP available.  Your named GP will take a lead responsibility for the co-ordination of all services provided to you at the practice.  Dr Raman Chandel is your named GP at the present time.

Zero Tolerance

In line with NHS guidelines we operate a policy of zero tolerance regarding physical or verbal abuse to the doctors, their staff or anyone else on the premises. In the event of such behaviour the police will be called and arrangements will be made for that person/s to be removed from the premises and the practice list.

Complaints Procedure

At Bluebell Surgery we endeavour to deliver a high quality of service and care. However at times it may be that a patient feels that they have a complaint. Any complaint will be fully investigated and to help us with this, we would ask that the complaint be submitted in writing to the Practice Manager Jane Frost. Any such complaint should be made as soon as possible after the event.
